OUR STORY.

It all started with a casual night out, a few friends, and a serendipitous moment that would change the course of our lives. Picture this: A dimly lit bar, laughter echoing in the background, and our CEO, Alex Griepentrog, sporting a friend's music merch hat that boldly declared "cowboy hat" despite being a classic baseball cap. Little did we know, that seemingly simple twist of words would plant the seed for what would later become SIMPLYstupid, our unconventional brand and marketing company.

As Alex enjoyed the camaraderie of the evening, wearing the hat that sparked the idea, bartender Pam playfully suggested, "That should just say baseball hat, you know?" And just like that, the lightbulb went off.

We realized there was magic in simplicity, in turning the ordinary into the extraordinary with a touch of humor and a fresh perspective. In addition to his role as a business leader, Alex is a multifaceted individual with a passion for various creative pursuits. As a touring musician, he brings his musical talents to the stage, captivating audiences with his performances. Beyond the music realm, Alex is also a skilled cinematographer, showcasing his expertise in the visual arts.

Not content with just one avenue of success, Alex is the owner of several thriving businesses. The Carnivore Crack seasoning brand has become a household name, reflecting Alex's keen business acumen in the culinary industry. He is also at the helm of Theodore Urban Publishing, a venture that underscores his commitment to literature and writing.

​

Under his personal music brand, Alex Jeffery, he continues to make waves in the music industry, demonstrating his dedication to artistic expression. With a diverse skill set and a knack for entrepreneurship, Alex Griepentrog has successfully navigated multiple industries, leaving an indelible mark on each.

Lukas Boucher, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SIMPLYstupid, brings a unique blend of strategic insight and operational expertise to the leadership team. Hailing from Freedom, Wisconsin, Lukas has carved a niche for himself in the business world, particularly excelling in brand relations and operations.

With a passion for golf that extends beyond the boardroom, Lukas is not only an avid golfer but also someone who understands the value of precision, strategy, and focus—traits that seamlessly translate into his professional endeavors.

Madison DeMeuse, the creative powerhouse at the helm of SIMPLYstupid's marketing strategies, brings a wealth of experience and an artistic touch to the role of Director of Marketing. As the owner of the thriving design business, Sunny Muse Studio, Madison has honed her skills as an all-encompassing graphic design virtuoso.

With an unwavering attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Madison stands out as the ideal leader for marketing endeavors. Her work ethic is a testament to her dedication to producing not just good, but exceptional, results. Madison's proficiency in a diverse array of design software, coupled with her ability to thrive in collaborative and deadline-driven environments, positions her as a well-rounded designer with extensive creative experience.

 

A local to Green Bay, Madison pursued her passion for graphic design at the University of Minnesota, earning a bachelor's degree that laid the foundation for her illustrious career. Her love for the arts extends beyond the digital canvas; Madison has a deep appreciation for music, often lending her expertise to manage several area bands, with the most recent being Trash Pandas.

 

Madison's interests aren't confined to the creative realm; she finds joy in the simplicity of life, whether it's nurturing a garden, embarking on outdoor adventures, or exploring new destinations. Her love for travel complements her role as a passionate advocate for life, love, and people. Madison DeMeuse brings not just talent but a huge heart to her work, infusing every project with a genuine passion that sets her apart in the world of marketing and design.

Izzy Niemi, the vibrant force behind SIMPLYstupid's social media endeavors, brings a small-town charm with big ideas to the forefront. Hailing from the quaint town of Owen-Withee, WI, with a population of 1500, Izzy's roots are firmly planted in community values.

As the Head of Social Media, Izzy is not just a social butterfly; she's the orchestrator of connections and the catalyst for bringing people together. Her passion lies in creating value for communities, and her fun, spunky personality is a magnetic force that draws individuals into the narrative she weaves.

 

Outside the digital realm, Izzy has been the mastermind behind the Sardine Can in Green Bay since 2019, transforming it into the premier hotspot for locals and visitors alike. Her ability to manage not just a venue but an experience has made her a sought-after collaborator. Partnering with various brands and businesses, she's played a pivotal role in catapulting them into household names.

 

Izzy's creativity knows no bounds; she is a perpetual idea generator, constantly brainstorming new concepts that breathe life into brands. Her knack for social media management goes hand in hand with her role as the curator of the "Get2KnowGreenBay" travel blog, where she beautifully showcases the essence of the city we all call home.

 

When she's not immersed in the world of social media or managing the Sardine Can, Izzy is a traveler at heart. Her love for exploration is complemented by quality time spent with family and friends, not to mention the delightful presence of her two French Bulldogs. Izzy Niemi embodies the perfect blend of creativity, community spirit, and a zest for life that makes her an invaluable asset to SIMPLYstupid.
